Oh dear ....

This is what happens when you try to fix something that's not broken ... :p  I thought i'd try to add a little Christmas cheer to 'Tuffy's Tales' only to have unwittingly delete my previous templates and widgets.  At least now, with a little tinkering around I can now begin to edit Tuffy's page. My previous template upload attempt - while was nice and green Christmassy ... had all the page's edit tabs so nicely hidden away, I had trouble working the page.

While I feel somewhat regretful over what I've just done ... (All that history on the sidebars! Gone at one silly, uninformed click.  Is there a way of reverting to my old page?  Does somebody out there know?) I suppose on the the bright side, this minimized page is a blank canvas for make-over.  Hopefully, this time I won't mess up the page tamplates and widgets.  So Op Pack, Martha Bailey (you've got fantastic looking blogs)... anyone who's got some idea about personalizing blog pages pray enlighten this blur human ...

Putting my editing mishaps aside, Anna has just gone in for her biopsy.  We'll see how that turns out.  I hope to be able to collect her home by this evening.  Alwas feel so sorry for the dogs when more invasive procedures have to be taken - just because of one suspicious looking lump.  Speaking of which Tuffy boy has a lump on his side too - after being snapped at by Joe.  Joe has this thing about NOT sharing his toys - The TUFFTIRE is official the Rottweiller's, and the Rottweiller's alone.

The other dogs only get to play with TUFFTIRE only after Joe goes into his pent to snooze.  As for the wee mesh ball  (in previous post where Tuffy was chewing on it) ... it's not quite as robust as they put out to be.  They've given the mesh a good chew and it's looking decidedly too fragile for another episode of Dog Woods rough and tumbles ... I've since retired the ball for fear of some pup (Joe particularly ...) greedily deciding to swallow the rubber bits.

  1. I've got no ideas, as my blog is just a plain template with a fancy banner. Sometimes less is more!

  2. Mom isn't much help either!

That is part of the reason we've not done much with mine!

Paws khrossed fur ALL the residents of The Woods!

  3. Sorry to hear about your template trouble! I have only used Wordpress and I haven't ever changed my template since I started, although I do edit the CSS from time to time, mainly to change the picture in the header.

  4. We have our paws crossed for Anna! Blog changing is very stressful!
I am very nervous about it but love to personalise it at the same time.
I confess Reilly's mom helped me - I had been trying to get a picture to be the background and thought I had lost everthing.
You can 'save' your template before you begin which is always reassuring.
Your blog is looking very nice just now. We like the xmas trees.
Our basic template is minima stretch which is wider and allows you to put in bigger pics if you like.
That is very simple to do just by going into templates - you can then add to it.
Well done for trying - you have to be brave - the other thing is to click preview because until you click save nothing is permanent!

  5. Just remembered! It was suggested to me that I start a test blog for experimenting and I will do that!
That way you can muck about and learn without the worry of doing any damage to your original blog.
    Sounds good to me!!!

  6. those are very practical suggestions ... have a test blog to muck up! Thanks for the feedback!

  7. I'd love to try a new look, but I'm afraid of losing everything so I just leave it as is.

We're thinking about Anna today and wishing her a quick recovery and a good diagnosis.

  8. Hey Dog Woods gang, sorry to hear about Anna & Tuffy's ailments...hope they turn out to be nothing. Love your new look, don't fret over the old one! As with the end of the year upon us, out with the old, in with the new, right?!
    Your pal,

  9. Hi Tuffy's Mom,

We are so sorry to hear of your midadventure. This looks really nice now. Love the holiday look and the colors are really nice. Thanks for the compliment about our blog. We really have not done much to it since we started it, we are also afraid of losing everything. Ann of Zoolatry is the one who has done our header pics and she inserted them for us and changed the colors. We really want to have some paper on the sides like you have but are afraid to mess things up. Sorry we can't be of more help.

Paws crossed for a good report on Anna and that Tuffy's lump isn't anything serious. Do you think it could be infected?

    Hugs, the OP Pack

  10. That's why my template never changes, I rarely update my blog roll, etc. I hope someone has some advice for you.

Paws crossed for the lumps and tests.
