Blue Bandanna: The Commander in Chief!

Hello there good furry and fur-less readers,

Your Smart Cookie Snoopy reporting ...

What furry good luck! We finally managed to persuade the Chief to pose for the blue bandanna series. Unlike we Dog Woods Pack who thrive on being in the center of any camera's focus, the Chief a.k.a. as 'She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed' (theoretically, that is ...) is one camera shy human.

Brandi & Tubby and a shred of blue bandanna (under paw)

Our blue bandanna that lasted longer than most of you good readers have expected is now alas, resting in pieces ...

Ripping Bandanna Apart !

But fret you not! We clever Dog Woods Pack improvised and found something blue so big we could make a tent with it ! No kidding.

Something Blue ...

Anyway, the Chief put her foot down when we suggested she draped herself with it ...! And so 'She-Must-Be-Obeyed' posed on her own terms.

Meeting of Chiefs ... and Furkid Dexter ...

Anywoos, this be the Chief's personal take:-

"You don't realise how big they are until pictures like these are taken depicting some relative comparisons.
In my eyes, they will always be adorably cute furry pups - mischeviously scrambling about doing what dogs do! That includes the TOP DOG, Tuffy!

How they have grown! Especially the Fur Kids!

Once, not a very long time ago, I could easily cradle one pup in the palm of my hands. These days, I could honestly do with a crane!"

Now don't get the Chief wrong. That wasn't another jibe about our weight ... it's really complimenting how healthily robust and big we have grown! Thanks to our good breeding, exercise and healthy appetites... ! ;)

  1. In our eyes you are the perfect bassets! We cant be doing with skinny bassets - it is against the law of nature!
We are not sorry to see the demise of the blue bandana and are marvelling once again at the Chief's ingenuity!
Great pictures once again - perhaps a ceremonial burying of said blue bandana?

  3. Your photos were the very best. You made me laugh every day. Next week I'll be posting some of the outtakes. They are really funny.

Thank you so very much for helping to make this project work. We have over 70 dogs participating. Of course, you and I make up 20 of that number.

  5. The blue bandana looks like a lot of fun. I can never get my mom to pose for anything, but she always expects me to pose for her.

Was your Trixie,Malinois sister ever in the police force? We have a freind who used to be with the sheriff's dept and he had a Malinois as his K9 helper. Said she was really smart.

  8. I don't get why she won't wear the big blue thing...if it were my momma she would put it over herself then take the picture. She is sneaky about stuff like that. ~Twix

  10. That's what a bandana is really for, I tell ya!! Definitely looks better (to me anyway) when it is in pieces than when it's tied around my head, my neck, my whatever...

LOL.. our mom says she agrees with your Chief... she misses those good ol' days when she can easily scoop me up with one hand without dislocating her shoulder.. wonder if there is a hidden meaning to that... **thinking**
