Trip Down Under : Part III and the Looming Influenza A

Hello there good furry and fur-less readers!

All in all we spent a grand total of THREE days in Perth Australia ... talk about a flying visit! The initial plan was to spend at least a week in Perth but with the outbreak of the Swine Flu (Influenza A) the Chief and I scuttled back to Dog Woods as soon as we could.

Some would call that being 'paranoid'. But the Chief calls it 'avoidance'. She's seen how paranoid people became when the SARS broke out in Asia. Once upon a SARS ago, one innocent cough or sneeze at any country's points of entry and you'd find yourself surrounded by more than paranoid authorities bent on sending one to be quarantined - just in case ...!

So before the Swine Flu arrives on the shores of Australia and Malaysia, she'd wanted us to be safely home and avoid being treated like a possible disease carrier by both the health, customs, and immigration of the countries in particular.

Anyhoos, there'll always be the next time. But honestly, I rather like just hanging out at Dog Woods, being TOP DOG Lording over my Pack :) There's really no place like home!I'll let the Chief know that I've had enough of long haul walk-abouts for a while.

These be some photos the Chief took while taking a cruise ride down the Swan River. No pictures of me in that ... I was preoccupied trying to find my Sea legs ... or in this instant, River Legs. This TOP DOG has come to the conclusion that he is not meant for any sailing ... yours bark-edly found it a little too queasy to one's liking :P

We got on cruise from here : Barrack Street Jetty

And raced the other wee boats down the river ...

Only to discover that there are great bigger boats out there - called cargo ships!
The Chief thought it would have been grand and alot healthier if we set sail for Dog Woods instead of long haul air travelled and breathing canned recycled air ... but I barfed and she quickly reverted to our original travel plans.
Hehe.
