Bristling good time!

Helping with the Brush

...Yes, we the Dog Woods Pack love being brushed. Yes, the metal brush with metal bristles! We simply can't seem to get enough of it ...

Me First!

It's always a paw-some day when the Chief whips out the metal brush. We'd be so excited, the Chief's usually swamped by that wriggling melee of furry canines all more than eager to be brushed. We'd jostle even each other to settle who gets to savour the FIRST bristle and jostle each other again just to get luxury of brushed AGAIN!

Snoopy in her 'Brush Please! Mode'

In fact, we love it so much Snoopy the Smart Cookie has device a special little jig and bark ... just to alert the Chief she WANTS a good brushing down! Now, it may seem a little unfair that the Smart Cookie's got an edge up (from the TOP DOG and the rest of the Dog Woods Pack) in effective 'Bristle Communication' with the Chief.

Making sure the Chief brushes my under-carriage

But usually I get to benefit too, or rather this Dog-Ship would usually barge into Snoopy's brushing session edging her out of the way since it's Dog Woods' custom that the TOP DOG always gets FIRST Bristling Brush!

The Chief's very fair, of course. She'd ensure that all us Dog Woods doggies get a bristling-ly good brush down - even when we've succeeded in jostling the 'Brush-ee' out of the Brush-er's way - or not.

I tell you, when the Chief hits that particular SPOT - usually the far unreachable reaches of corners of my furry under-carriage or back, it feels so involuntarily-leg-twitchingly good ...Wooooo! It's almost like the most heavenly melt-in-your-mouth- scrumptious-TREAT ever ...

  1. Oooo, we love brush sessions too! Dottie isn't that wild about them but she was a show dog so she probably has seen enough of a brush for a lifetime. But Coop and moi? We love a good brush.

    Thanks for sharing,

  4. Hi Guys
Your post is back! I wonder where it was?
Back to business - we love being brushed too and can relate to Snoopy's jig!
The other thing we have discovered is when one dog lies down for those really long stretches if you just lie on top!
The Chief can only brush the top dog! Just a tip for you guys who appear to have these things sorted out in your doggy family.
    love

  7. Hi and thanks for helping me find you! I love brushees too - I just lie down and roll over - just like that. Mom tries to train me to do this in formal working sessions, but I won't do it then! Only when there's to be a massage session - Woof! Nice to meet you and your cool blog!

  10. Dear Brushed Dogs, We must say, it gets a little confuzing to follow with all the brushees and brushers and under brush and stuff (is that stuff in the woods or your belly? Now we have confuzed ourselves even more!) OK but anyway, nonetheless, while our preferred methodology is with the scratching as opposed to the brushing, we must say TWO PAWS WAY UP for the outstanding point about that spot on the back! Love, your PaLs, LuLu and LoLLy!
